Dr. Jose Eleazar R. Bersales, or Jobers, is the director of the University of San Carlos Museum and head of the NCCA National Committee on Museums. He is also a Full Professor at the USC Department of Anthropology, Sociology and History and managing editor of the journal Philippine Quarterly of Culture and Society. Jobers is also co-project leader of the Northern Cebu Archaeological Project (NCAP).

He holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology with an archaeology dissertation from the University of San Carlos on a sandwich program with the New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA. He also holds an M.A. in Philippine Studies from UP Diliman.
