PAMANA TALKS: Feelings: How To Keep History Alive

Registration is now closed. Thank you!

A history remembered is alive. Cultures developed through time ceremonies, and governments instituted holidays and erected monuments. Altogether, these expressions of generations animated feelings to keep the peoples connected with their ancestors’ wisdom, ideals, and legacies. These are also generations’ way of educating the new generations of what to value, to thank for, and to keep holding to.

Join us this Friday night August 28, 6:30pm with Ian Christopher Alfonso, senior history researcher of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, and Secretariat Head of the National Quincentennial Committee, as we talk about the various ways of evoking strong feelings and emotions in keeping Philippine history alive in the hearts and minds of Filipinos. Ask you most pressing history questions to Ian on Facebook Live!

FREE ADMISSION! Register now to secure your slot and be able to earn your e-Certificate of Participation (please read the FAQs below for more info). Limited seats only.

If you enjoyed our Pamana Talks, kindly consider donating to our AYUDA PARA SA PAMANA fundraising campaign to benefit our local museum beneficiaries and cultural workers affected by COVID-19 lockdowns around the Philippines.
