Join us on an in-depth 4-day carpool study tour of Bicol’s history, colonial architecture, traditional arts and crafts, culinary delights, and stories of the Ibalong people.

This is not your ordinary heritage tour, but a study trip that will bring you into greater appreciation of Bicol’s history, culture and heritage. This roadtrip study tour is organized by GKI volunteer members Apple Allison, Ryan Cuatrona, Nisha Alicer and Rome Candaza.

Tour fee includes full-board meals, hotel accommodation, entrance fees and gas allowance en-route to Bicol. Exclusive of toll fees, gas expense homebound to Manila, and personal expenses (e.g. pasalubong, etc.).

Pay only 50% downpayment of the tour fee to confirm your reservation. Remaining balance may be paid on the assembly of the 1st day of the tour. Note that tour fee is non-refundable once paid.

GKI members who will bring their car and can carpool for 3 to 4 additional members/guests will be provided with one (1) full-tank gas refill, free of charge! (first 5 vehicles only)

What is included and not included on the tour fee?

Do GKI members get a discount?

Active and current GKI members will enjoy a 20% discount from the tour fees.

What should I need to bring for this tour?

As this is a 4-day study tour and roadtrip around Bicol, please make sure to bring all your travel essentials, including but not limited to the following:

6.) Slippers

How much extra cash should we bring?

We recommend bringing at least Php 5,000.00 to cover for your personal expenses and contribution on toll fees and gas refill homebound to Manila.

What should we expect on this tour?

The study tour includes many stops on all 4 days from May 26 to 29, curated by GKI volunteer members of Bicolano roots who know their history and heritage very well. Various stops will range from visiting churches to walking certain trails down a river to get a spectacular view of a colonial bridge, to eating various Bicolano dishes that will truly satisfy your tummy and your soul! Rest assured that this roadtrip will be one for the books!

Expect that there will be lots of walking during the four-day road trip. Make sure that you're fit and healthy to take such a roadtrip. If you have an existing health condition, please consult with your doctor.

Treat this one like your usual Holy Week or Christmas family roadtrip. Wear comfortable outdoor wear, take lots of photos and enjoy the trip with friends and family!

How is the carpool arranged?

This trip is organized mainly by GKI members, but friends and family of GKI members are very welcome to join as well! We will take up to 20 participants only.

Those who can bring their car are encouraged to take in three to four other joining members/guests in their car. In return, GKI will provide one (1) full tank gasoline allocation for all members/non-members bringing their car, free of charge! (first 5 registering vehicles only).

The full-tank gas allocation will be provided during our assembly on the morning of first day at Shell Magallanes gas station, Skyway, Makati City.

Our tour marshal shall designate point persons for every carpool to properly coordinate with everyone during the whole duration of the roatrip, via Facebook or Viber group chat.

How are the hotel accommodations arranged?

Hotel rooms shall be arranged on a twin-bed sharing basis. Your tour marshal shall be designating your room arrangements in coordination with the hotel.

Will we be asked to sign a waiver form?

Yes, Grupo Kalinangan will request every participant to sign a waiver form as part of their participation in this roadtrip.

Are children/senior citizens allowed to join?

Only children 10 years old and above are allowed to join.

Senior citizens who are physically fit and healthy, and who can endure long roadtrips, are very much encouraged to join as well.

Will you issue an official receipt?

Yes, there will be an official receipt to be issued for every roadtrip participant.

How do I pay for the remaining balance of 50%

You may pay us the remaining 50% of the tour right at the assembly of the 1st day. An official receipt shall be issued to you upon full payment.

I could no longer attend the tour due to personal reasons. Can I transfer the name of my reservation to another person?

Yes, you may transfer your reservation to another person. Please notify us at least 2 days before the start of the roadtrip so we can update the travel and accommodation details. Kindly note that the tour fee is non-refundable.
