There are a lot of questions about the Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines, like: Ano? Ngayon? Eh ano ngayon? Ano na? This special Pamana Talks presentation aims to find the answers by exploring the history and impact of the events of 1521, and what it can teach about Filipinos. Some might say the theme “Victory and Humanity” and the QCP itself are contradictory and confusing, but taking a closer look it captures perfectly what we should be as a people today: Openness and Pakikipagkapwa-tao for people who are genuinely interested in making friends with us and to those who are in need, valor and victory in the face of aggression.
Grupo Kalinangan is proud to host its special Pamana Talks featuring Prof. Michael Charleston “Xiao” B. Chua of the De La Salle University. Registration to the online lecture is free, and all registered participants shall receive a Certificate of Participation upon submission of the feedback form after the online lecture.
