Ian Christopher B. Alfonso Ian Christopher B. Alfonso is the Supervising History Researcher of the Research, Publication and Heraldry Division of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). He sits as a Board Member of the Philippine Historical Association. He graduated with a Master of Arts in History (2018) and is currently studying for a Doctor of Philosophy in History at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He obtained his Bachelor of Secondary Education (Social Studies) at the Bulacan State University (2010). His research interests are Philippine precolonial and early colonial history, Philippine Revolution, nationalism, and local history of Pampanga and Bulacan. He founded Project Saysay Inc. in 2013 and co-founded the National Youth Forum on Heritage in 2015. He was formerly the Program Head of the NHCP Local Historical Committees Network and the Head of the National Quincentennial Committee Secretariat.
