In celebration of the National Heritage Month, Grupo Kalinangan (GKI) launched Ayuda Para Sa Pamana, a fundraising campaign to support cultural work in the time of the current COVID-19 pandemic, on May 22, 2020 during a Pamana Talks session.
GKI Board Chairman, Omar Tiwana, explained that the goal of the campaign is to provide assistance to primary and allied programs and projects of GKI, which are aimed at the promotion and preservation of historic monuments and sites, as well as the intangible cultural heritage of various indigenous peoples and cultural communities.
The fund to be raised will also be used as support for displaced cultural workers who have experienced loss or decrease in income due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ayuda Para Sa Pamana campaign is a partnership between GKI and Ticket2Me. The online fundraising platform accepts donations through debit and credit cards, GCash, PayPal, GrabPay, or UBPay.
