The Grupo Kalinangan, Inc. (GKI) emerged as one of the finalists of this year’s Globe Future Makers (GFM) Program, a program of Globe Telecom which aims to help build support ecosystem for local social innovators who use technology to solve the country’s most challenging social problems.

The awarding ceremony was held on 18 June 2019 at Globe Tower, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. As a finalist, GKI will be given technology support from Globe, tailored capacity-building and one-on-one mentoring from industry leaders, access to an ecosystem of peers, partners, and potential investors, and increased brand awareness to help in its cultural mapping projects and programs.

In a pitch held on 14 May 2019, GKI presented the project Mobile Heritage Online or MoHOn, a cultural mapping solution which aims to provide local governments with a quicker, more effective, and more cost-efficient platform for doing an inventory of heritage properties.

The other finalists of the GFM program are Tagani, Antipara, Alternative Indigenous Development Foundation, Inc., and LexMeet.
